GANASSI, LANAO DEL SUR – Panamar Ko Ranao Marketing Cooperative has officially announced its most ambitious project to date: a Php 12 million enterprise to establish a fully integrated coconut production and processing facility. This strategic initiative marks a significant step in the cooperative’s mission to scale its operations and bring the high-quality products of Lanao del Sur to a wider audience.
The proposed facility will modernize the cooperative’s current manual production methods, dramatically increasing capacity and efficiency. This will allow Panamar Ko Ranao to meet growing demand and expand its market reach beyond local and regional channels to national and even international markets. The cooperative is targeting regions in Asia, Europe, and North America where there is high demand for natural and organic products.
A key component of this expansion is the pursuit of organic and Halal certifications. “Securing these certifications is a primary goal for us,” said Chairman and General Manager Hamdanie T. Tahir. “They will serve as a formal validation of our deep commitment to the highest standards of quality, purity, and ethical production, which have been our guiding principles from the start.”
This project is poised to solidify Panamar Ko Ranao’s position as a leading cooperative in the Bangsamoro region, fulfilling its vision of driving long-term economic growth for its members and expanding the presence of eco-friendly products. By creating more direct employment opportunities and increasing the value of the local coconut harvest, the new facility represents a major investment in the future prosperity of the entire community.
